This lecture presentation will delve into the latest technologies and principles used during a Triathlon bike fit session. Topics of discussion will be 3d motion capture systems, foot pedal devices, power output, and dynamic versus static. This lecture is primarily aimed at bike fitters and coaches.

During this discussion, we will discuss the importance of bike fit in regards to performance, injury prevention and efficiency. Such topics as position, aerodynamics, product selection and training will also be covered.
- Training, Racing, and Your Medications, Colleen Kelly
This talks explores the effects of various over-the-counter and prescription medications on athletic performance. In particular, we will discuss how medications can affect daily training routines, recovery, and race day performances. We will also look at natural alternatives to these medications and look at their pros and cons. Finally, we will have an open forum to discuss any situations or medications that were not formally covered during the talk.

- Got Energy?: The Physiology Behind VO2max and Lactate Threshold, Sharon Peachey Sheremeta
In this session we will learn the three energy systems of the body, and the role each plays in various types of athletic events. We will also review results from actual VO2max and lactate threshold tests, and understand the physiology behind the various testing parameters, such as heart rate, cardiac output, oxygen consumption, carbon dioxide production, ventilation, the respiratory quotient, and lactate. Finally, we will integrate this data to present useful information for a successful training regimen.
- Triathlon Injuries, Dr. Jenn Turner
This session will examine the numerous injuries that can come up during training and competing in triathlon. Various aspects of these injuries will be reviewed including: mechanism of injury, injury physiology, signs, symptoms and treatment options as well as rehabilitation exercises.
Current research and clinical experience will guide this discussion and an interactive period will allow for discussion of specific injuries or case studies.
